Burners, Death, and VR

--

We’ve had Death discussions every week in VR since early March.

Death has a higher profile than usual. It’s tough for some people to keep it tamped down. Maybe they need to talk about it. That’s what our event is for.

We call it Death Q & A and people just keep coming.

Death leads us everywhere. It’s exhilarating.

Sometimes someone brings up grandparents and for a while different variants come out. Worried about how my behavior could affect my grandparents. Worried about some of the things my grandparents are doing and wondering what to do about it. Lost my grandparents. People talk with each other.

Threads come to an end. Ryan and I are the hosts. We call on people or bring up new threads. Some are abstract and conceptual, like near death experiences. Unless you’ve had one, which makes it different. We’ve had at least 20 people describe personal near death experiences. I think all of them said they never looked at things the same way afterward.

Cyber immortality is another popular topic.

We have also had four people in avatar form tell us about the death of a child. One of them, a young man in the UK, talked with great pride and a lot of emotion about the memory garden he and his wife have made.
