Just Finished My 10th Sales Call

That was the ratio of listening vs speaking on my sales call earlier today.

Funny part? I’ve been doing sales for only 3 months.

And I’m probably one of the worst out there:

  • I’ve got a thick accent
  • My analogies are between unusual, weird and sometimes hilarious
  • Sometimes I stumble mid-sentence since English is not my native language

But here’s what I did before I went on a call:

  • I’ve looked at the two of his main competitors and identify them
  • I knew his roles before his current company and his positions
  • I knew his sales team numbers
  • I knew his two main pain points and how series they are

I’ll train and get more sales calls under me.

But If I have the right information already the chances of getting that trust are waaaaay higher.

He ended the call with this:

“I appreciate that Dejan! Look I don’t take many demos on this thing, because usually it’s not worth my time. If something is really going to impact the health of my business then I’m in. And we gotta do everything we can to get a go for this call.”

We’re definitely going to speak again.
