MeetinVR is now available on the Oculus Store

--

MeetinVR, a Danish world-leading platform for collaborative meetings in virtual reality, today announced the launch on the Oculus Store. Starting today, every Quest and Quest 2 user can simply download and start using MeetinVR.

“We are very excited to be launching on the Oculus Store. This will enable many more people to access MeetinVR’s powerful collaboration tools with minimal effort.” — Cristian-Emanuel Anton, Co-founder, and CEO of MeetinVR

The company’s vision is to make both customer and internal business meetings better than in real life. It does this by making human interaction more intuitive, effective and gives participants “superpowers”.

The need for remote working solutions continues to rise and is creating a permanent change in enterprise meeting environments across the globe. Because of this change, Fortune 500 companies and private users are keen to explore the possibilities of VR collaboration. Within the last five years, MeetinVR has signed many multinational corporations, which have chosen the product because of its exceptional user experience and innovative interaction design. Furthermore, the VR application is designed in a very intuitive manner, with attention to detail in every design choice, highlighting the Nordic roots of the company.

The solution is available on stand-alone VR headsets including the Oculus Quest 1 and 2, Pico Neo 2, and computer-tethered HMDs. Since not everyone has their own virtual reality headset yet, MeetinVR provides a desktop solution that allows anyone to interact with their virtual reality environments using the hardware they already have. It is equipped with all the essential VR collaboration tools such as spatial sound, 2D/3D drawing, media casting, and speech-to-text note-taking. Moreover, MeetinVR has a set of more distinctive features such as being able to shake hands virtually, 360 media casting, Microsoft OneDrive integration, meeting management, and a set of tools for workshop participants, facilitators, and moderators.

Last year, the company announced partnerships with Wolf3D and Varjo. The Wolf3D integration has brought personalized selfie-based avatars to the platform. This feature, in line with the content upload, meeting scheduler, and team management, is available for registered users only. Without signing up for a 30-day free trial, people can only experience MeetinVR with pre-populated demo content. The Varjo partnership, on the other hand, opened the doors into mixed reality applications for the Danish company. Because of this, MeetinVR and Varjo have a bundle offer culminating the most advanced virtual collaboration tool with unmatched visual resolution fidelity and supercharged virtual meetings for enterprises.

If you’re used to working with video calls and prefer sticking to what’s familiar, MeetinVR will soon have a solution for that as well. MeetinVR will feature essential integrations, allowing you to peer into the world of VR via the video conferencing solution within just a few simple clicks.

Furthermore, non-VR users can do more than just listen, they can actively participate in VR meetings too. In the upcoming update, desktop users will see even more features and functionality that will allow them to harness the features of the platform without any additional hardware costs. Finally, since the collaborative environments can get pretty crowded sometimes, MeetinVR is also creating voice zones, so multiple teams in one room can work together without being overwhelmed with chatter from their neighbors.
